Sues Quilt

These are the heart blocks for the Pink and Blue quilts

 I inherited from my dear friend Sue, when she moved interstate. 

These quilts have been UFOs for about 20 years.
She had put so much work into them for her girls
I couldn't bear to see them disposed of

SO........ I got the urge to complete them for her.

Each block was made at the same time as a block for a Friendship Quilt Group 

It looks like most of the blocks require extra borders to be added so that the are all the same size.

I seem to remember Sue saying many years ago that she wanted them to be mostly calico homespun.

At this stage there is enough calico to complete one quilt.

Unfortunately there is a little bit of deterioration to some blocks

so slight alterations are on the cards.

In the basket was lots of Blue and Pink fabrics.

Some of these came from South Australia and others from America

I love them all...
